About Port Aransas Fishing Guide
Why this site exists
Port Aransas Fishing Guide is an independent guide to fishing Port Aransas: live conditions, honest access facts, and referrals to local charter operators serving the Coastal Bend.
We built it because most of what ranks for this town is vacation-rental blogs repeating each other — stale pier fees, expired regulations, invented tarpon calendars. This site does it differently: every fee, rule, and safety claim links its primary source with the date we verified it, live data comes straight from TxDOT and NOAA feeds, and where the truth is unknowable (a fee schedule the county does not publish, a spot with no official access information) we say so instead of guessing.
We are not a charter operation and we do not own boats. We are an independently run guide that connects visiting anglers with independent local captains and guides.
How we keep this information current
Published facts carry their retrieval dates, and regulatory content is re-verified against the new Texas license year every September. For operators we refer, we check that:
- The operation is currently running and reachable at the contact details we hold
- The captain holds the U.S. Coast Guard credential required to carry passengers for hire
- A current TPWD fishing guide license covers the trips they run for pay
If something is out of date, email us and we'll fix it.
How this site makes money
Using Port Aransas Fishing Guide is free for anglers, and we never mark up a trip. The site is supported on the operator's side: a captain or guide may pay a referral fee for the leads we send them. That keeps the guide free to read and free to use, with no cost or obligation to you — and it is disclosed next to every form on the site.
